ènostra is an co-operative that produces and sells renewable, sustainable energy to families, businesses and non-profit organizations. The co-operative is based on participation and community engagement, and aspires to change the way we produce and consume energy through a bottom-up approach in order to:
- Promote the transition from the current energy model based on fossil fuels to a renewable and democratic energy model such as to provide direct and indirect benefits to its members and local communities
- Contribute to achieving the EU target of 32% renewables in 2030, thanks to the implementation of new collective renewable plants, increased self-consumption on an individual and collective basis as well as energy efficiency measures in the residential market and in the secondary and tertiary sectors
- Encourage the development of renewable energy communities
- Raise public awareness and advocate for concrete action to tackle climate change and energy poverty at the local level.
